Climbing Area Description
Located in urban Phoenix, Camelback Mountain is an un-mistakable landmark in the city landscape. Composed of a desert conglomerate, routes here are primarily bolted, with a few exceptions. The most notable feature on the 'mountain' is the Praying Monk, a monk-shaped feature on the east side. Parking can be challenging in the Echo Canyon lot. Avoid the summer months - best times to climb are late fall to early spring.
